A Feast to Share
Not every family can afford the comfort of a full Christmas table, but together, we can change that.
The Community Christmas Hamper is a gift of good food and togetherness – packed with all the ingredients for a hearty, traditional Christmas meal. There’s a roast to gather around, vegetables for generous sides, sweet treats for dessert, and nibbles to share while the meal is cooking. Two bottles of juice, festive sweets, and a touch of indulgence make it complete.
Each hamper feeds around six to eight people, or stretches to ten when shared, bringing warmth, full bellies, and a sense of celebration to the table. It’s more than just groceries, it’s a moment of care from the community, a reminder that no one should go without a proper Christmas feast.
Valued at around $100, each hamper is made possible through community donations. All funds go directly to The Salvation Army Queenstown, who prepare and deliver these hampers to local families in need. Options are to buy a full hamper or components that together with other donors will make a full hamper
