FUNDRAISING FOR SALVATION ARMY NEW VENUE’S PLAY EQUIPMENT
Salvation Army’s Community & Social Wellbeing Hub opened on 11th November 2023 – this facility is designated to serve our region by providing a space to collaborate with other local social services and to support the growing needs of clients for generations to come.
The Salvation Army’s vision for community engagement comes to life as they welcome a diverse array of local social service providers to the new facility including The Queenstown Housing Trust , Central Lakes Family Services and Te Kura Correspondence School. The Salvation Army services span the 500sqm ground floor with this inclusive design that includes community ministries offices, a versatile 50sqm multi-function room available for community use, and the convenience of 16 on-site parking spaces.
To help achieve the vision and to make every space within the centre shine, we are asking for the generous support of our community by seeking assistance with furnishing the whanau play spaces.
The team at Salvation Army have provided us with their wish list for stimulating, colourful, durable and hard wearing structures for busy exploration and sensory experiences.
If you can donate towards these items, the option is available when purchasing a ticket for the Christmas Show!
With the unwavering support of our community members, the new community centre will play a central role in building a more resilient and connected community.
A place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
